Pleasant Surprises

A Creative Landscape

Imagine my surprise and delight when I went to the car today. On the fence, nearest the carport, was a family of turkeys. A “Mom” turkey and eight chicks could be seen perched on the top of this fence. These birds were lined up side by side facing outward. One of the chicks looked like it was ready for a nap. I felt some compassion for this chick as I imagine following the parent-bird was tiring for such a small creature. The “Mom” was aware of me looking at her babies. While I went back into my residence to get a camera, she moved them on someplace else. However, this was a brief moment for which I am grateful.
